In the Netherlands, the MT50 came out in 1980, because the law described it as ”Bicycle with auxiliary motor” you had to be able to cycle with it.

In 1985 this was abolished and the MTs became the same as in the surrounding countries.

After 1985, these MT5s of the first type were massively converted to the later type and the pedals disappeared.

We have completely restored this MT50 from 1983 and the stairs are also still present, hard to find these days and therefore extra fun.
